How to Clear Lync Temporary Cache Files

Overview
Lync caches files locally on a PC or MAC to pull information quickly and efficiently. However, there are times where it is necessary or helpful to delete those files and force Lync to get a new set from the server. 
Common reasons you will want to clear your cache include:
  • If you can't log in to Lync
  • If your Outlook and Lync integration is not functioning properly
  • If you have issues with Presence

Process
Lync 2010 or Lync 2013 for Windows
STEP 1 - The Client
1. Log out of Lync 2013
2. Delete my sign-in info
3. Exit the Lync 2013 client
STEP 2 - Delete Files
1. Click Start. Go to Computer. In the address bar, copy and paste \%AppData%\..\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\
2. Delete your sip profile folder
3. Go into the Tracing folder
4. Delete the all files, but not the folders
5. Close the window
STEP 3 - Clear DNS Cache
1. Click on Start >> Type CMD >> Press Enter
2. Type ipconfig/flushdns >> Press Enter
3. Type exit >> Press Enter
COMPLETE, go to All Programs and start LYNC again
